Today (Sunday, 25 of Hamal) the process of distributing the curriculum to the 5,000 needy students has been inaugurated by Herat's Education Director, Roohullah Azhad. In a ceremony held at Mirwais Shaheed High School for the purpose, the speakers emphasized the importance of working with needy students and addressing the educational needs of students, as well as collaborating with foundations and schools.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Professor Parisa Ahmadi Shirin Sokhan, Principal of High School, welcomed the guests and thanked the Liyan Amiri Foundation for its effective assistance and called for cooperation and attention to the public schools to achieve a bright and desirable future. Following her speech, Professor Maqsood Mahmoodi spoke on behalf of the Liyan Amiri Foundation.
Beside Introducing the foundation, he presented detailed explanations on starting of the assistance package process as well as the distribution, importance and value of these assistance.
On behalf of the Mirwais Shahid School Development Council, Haji Raz mohammad, one of the elders (the district representative), appreciated the Liyan Amiri Foundation on its valuable activities while congratulating the inauguration of this round of assistance.
Then, Roohullah Azhad, the Education Director, made a speech. At the beginning of his speech, he praised the contributions of the Liyan Amiri Foundation and found the impact of this assistance valuable in meeting the needs of government schools in the city and districts. In his speech, the Director of Herat Education highlighted the valuable role that public assistance plays in schools. He said the Ministry of Education's budget is not sufficient and called for more attention and cooperation to achieve a better school situation.
Finally, Alhaj Sayyed Maqsood Amiri, Head of the Education and Public Relations Department of the Liyan Amiri Foundation, praised the Education Directory and schools for providing the appropriate situation for cooperation. In the last part of his speech, he promised the official of Shaheed Sadeq High School to address the problems at that school.
The ceremony ended with the donation of a bag of school and studying materials to many needy students in Mirwais Shaheed High School.
Eighty percent of this aid package will be distributed to district schools, and the remaining twenty percent will be donated to needy students in city schools.
