In a series of development and service programs to its compatriots, this time, the Liyan Amiri Foundation, started the construction of a checkpoint to facilitate the administration and security of Herat's international airport.
The building with 150 meters’ infrastructure, at a cost of 35,000 USD will be made in a fully standardized way (with different parts) using the most modern equipment.
Alhaj Sayed Masoum Amiri, head of the Liyan Amiri Foundation's Main Office, described the establishment of this as a step towards serving the people and outlined the priorities of the Liyan Amiri Foundation's work with various government departments.
Then the Honorable Ahmad Shaheer Salehi, Head of Herat International Airport, appreciated the Foundation's useful and effective action and called for continued assistance.
Also, Ms. Rahima Jami, the elected representative of Herat people in the Parliament, emphasized the importance of public services, highlighting the important role of the services of the Liyan Amiri Foundation and called the activities of the Foundation effective and useful in various sectors.
Alhaj Mohammed Nasser Niknam, commander of the Border Police, also noted the importance of establishing the building and considered its construction an important step in creating facilities for passengers. He noted that earlier in the winter and summer, travelers had many problems with inspections due to lack of adequate space and equipment, and the establishment of the building would solve most of the problems.
Engineer Bahman Sarvari, a Volunteer member of the Liyan Amiri Foundation, also laid the foundation stone for the good patriotic intentions of the Foundation's officials.
Finally, Engineer Hamidullah Hamid, an authorized representative of Roozbeh Construction Company, promised to start the official construction of the building on 03-08-1397 as agreed, and to complete it in the best possible way within two months.
Herat International Airport is located thirteen kilometers south of Herat city in Gozara district and is one of the largest and oldest airports in Afghanistan.
